VACANCY FOR THE POST OF
The Largest Commercial Eco-Friendly Washing Facility in Sri Lanka
Our client has constructed an unparalleled Facility to deliver a complete solution for wash, dry and pressing needs of linen that is environmentally conscious and technologically advanced to ensure superior quality and longer linen lifetimes.
This position functionally and administratively reports to the factory Chief Operating Officer, the job holder is accountable for running washing department’s (Washing to finishing) day to day operations while developing and executing short term and medium term operational improvement projects in order to meet the company objectives. He/She is also trequired to deliver an excellent client experience to ensure the best satisfaction through excellent management and team work through motivation.
Additional responsibilities include up keeping training, performance evaluations, scheduling and supervising the personnel within the department to control the day to day running operations of the department. He/She will be held accountable for managing cost control,
resource planning, operational change management and reporting of KPI s and ensuring that the department remains completely compliant with the SLAS.
The pre-requisites for the position would be:
Assist in setting daily Operational targets in line with approved parameters and submitting daily operational variance reports.
Ensuring achievement of daily target OEE and operational KPI’s by driving performance of people/machine and product quality ensuring customer satisfaction and submission of justifications on variances to the management.
Optimize equipment usage according to standard procedure, enhancing performance and product quality, ensuring the achievement of all Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
Overall monitoring and supervision of the laundry staff while supporting, encouraging and developing the team ensuring team spirit.
Identifying, minimizing and eliminating inventory losses, linen damages and mishandling caused within the washing department
Undertakes to complete training and development required for role by utilizing most of learning opportunities either structured or unstructured.
Implementation of skills development programs as designed by the Washing Manager
Contribute to the creation and implementation of best practice maintenance vision, strategy, policies, processes and procedures toaid and improve operational performance
Required skills and competencies
Bachelors Degree in Science (Chemistry as a Subject) or NDT in Chemical Engineering.
2 Years’ experience in Commercial Laundry or Garment Washing Industry.
